Each week, Bishop Lynch Athletics recognizes one male and one female student-athlete who best exemplify the values of Bishop Lynch Athletics both on and off the field of competition. The Athletes of the Week honor celebrates outstanding performances while also recognizing the character, consistency, leadership, and commitment that make these student-athletes exceptional representatives of the Friar family.
Harman Pope, Bishop Lynch Cross Country
Senior Harman Pope captured his second consecutive district championship for the Bishop Lynch cross country team, finishing first overall with a time of 16:48, 14 seconds ahead of the next runner. His standout performance helped lead the Friars to a second-place team finish at the district meet. Pope's back-to-back individual titles highlight his consistency and continued excellence as one of the program's top runners.
Aubrey Parker, Bishop Lynch Cross Country
Freshman Aubrey Parker made a significant jump in the Bishop Lynch cross country record books at the district meet, moving from No. 41 to No. 18 on the Friars' all-time 2-mile list. Parker finished 13th overall as Bishop Lynch's second runner, helping the women's team improve from a fourth-place finish last season to third place this year.
