Each week, Bishop Lynch Athletics recognizes one male and one female student-athlete who best exemplify the values of Bishop Lynch Athletics both on and off the field of competition. The Athletes of the Week honor celebrates outstanding performances while also recognizing the character, consistency, leadership, and commitment that make these student-athletes exceptional representatives of the Friar family.

Grayson Waldrop, Bishop Lynch Football

Senior Grayson Waldrop stepped into a new role last Friday night and made an immediate impact, helping the Friars to a 42-7 victory over John Paul II. Already contributing as a wide receiver and the team's backup quarterback, Waldrop took on running back duties and led the Friars with 13 carries for 94 yards and two touchdowns. His versatility and willingness to take on whatever role the team needed exemplify the team-first mentality and commitment celebrated by the Athletes of the Week honor.

Camila Figueroa, Bishop Lynch Volleyball

Senior Camila Figueroa played a key role in the Friars' 2-0 week, helping Bishop Lynch earn district victories over Ursuline and Legacy Christian. Figueroa averaged 13.5 kills per match while hitting .330 and recorded a double-double against Legacy Christian with 16 kills and 10 digs. She has been a consistent force for the Friars throughout the season, leading the team with 269 digs while ranking second with 237 kills. Her all-around production and consistency have made her an integral part of the Bishop Lynch volleyball program.
