Friars Respond With Statement Victory in Frisco

FRISCO — The Bishop Lynch women's basketball team responded in a big way Tuesday night, rolling past Legacy Christian Academy, 70-20, in the Burns Family Gym. The win moves the Friars to 18-14 (4-2) on the season as they continue district play.

After struggling from the field in their previous outing, the Friars found their rhythm offensively, shooting 28-of-57 (49.1%) as a team. On the defensive end, Bishop Lynch was relentless, forcing 33 turnovers and holding the Eagles to just 8-of-44 (18.2%) shooting from the field.

The pressure was felt across the floor, as 11 of the 12 Friars who saw action recorded at least two steals. Avery Billotte, Fre Vowels, Harper Alcantar, Eleanor Prosser, and Olivia Joseph all led the way with three steals apiece.

Freshman Eleanor Prosser continued her strong stretch of play, leading all scorers with 21 points on an efficient 7-of-10 shooting night. She knocked down three triples and once again set the tone offensively for the Friars.
