The freshman Friars played three tough games at the Irving tournament last weekend, returning home with a third-place trophy.

In the semifinals, the Friars fell to a tough Richardson team, 70-49.

The Friars were led in scoring by Athian Woul with 13 points and Drew Grinbergs with eight.
The Friars bounced back from the tough loss with great energy and aggression to beat Grand Prairie 61-44 and claim third place in the tournament.
The boys limited their opponent defensively which resulted in fast break opportunities. Eleven teammates scored in the matchup with Athian Woul contributing 11 points and Lucas Herrmann contributing 10.
