Box Score FRISCO - The Bishop Lynch volleyball season came to an end on Saturday after a tough defeat to Prestonwood Christian.
The Friars came out hot and won the first two sets, 26-24 and 25-22, over the Lions. All the momentum was in the Friars' favor, and the gym was echoing "Let's Go Friars!" Prestonwood showed why they are one of the best teams in the entire state as they did not let anything distract them. They would go and capture the following two sets to create a fifth set for a chance at the state semi-finals.
The fifth set went back and forth, and the Friars even held a 6-5 lead after a
Lauryn Lambert kill. Prestonwood again showed their poise and would fight back to a 15-9 set win and a 3-2 match win.
The Friars had a great season under first-year head coach
Shea Jenkins. The team will undoubtedly miss the senior class, but they are still very young and talented, and the Bishop Lynch volleyball program has a bright future.
