Box Score DALLAS - After dropping the first two sets last Friday, the Bishop Lynch volleyball team rallied back to win the next three sets and the match against Aledo.
In a game where neither team played their best, the Friars dug deep to capture the victory. After dropping the first two sets 25-22 and 25-21, the Friars turned it on in the third. The team had a total of 13 kills in the third set with a respectable hitting percentage of .216. The team overall made only a few errors in the third set which helped them win 25-18.
In the fourth set, the Friars hitting really came alive, hitting the ball with an excellent percentage of .314. The team had a total of 16 kills in the fourth set, leading the way was
Lyric Berry with five and
Maddie Nolan with four. The team also continued to not make mistakes, have zero service or service receiving errors in the fourth. This led to a 25-13 set win.
In the deciding fifth set, the Friars didn't slow down. Eight kills on a .316 hitting percentage were too much for Aledo and the Friars completed the comeback taking the set 15-8 and the game 3-2. This was the first time the Friars faced a 5th set this year and it was a huge win for their confidence going forward as district play approaches.
