Congratulations to these six Bishop Lynch student-athletes on signing to play and continue their academic career at the next level! Bishop Lynch had a morning ceremony to celebrate
Lyric Berry,
Natalie Cardenas,
Maddie Heiss,
Sierra Ross,
Raegan Stickney and
Ashlyn Zilliken.
Lyric Berry – Providence College - Volleyball
Berry is a four year member of the Bishop Lynch volleyball program. She has had an amazing career in the black and white. Earlier this season, she amassed the 1000 kill milestone as a Friar. She has been named TAPPS Second Team All-State (2021), TAPPS First Team All-District (2020 & 2021), TAPPS Second Team All-District (2019) and the TAPPS All-Tournament Team (2019).
Natalie Cardenas – Henderson State - Basketball
Cardenas is a three-year varsity member and a state champion. She has 640 points in her career and has made 115 three pointers. She has been named TAPPS First Team All-State (2021), TAPPS First Team All-District (2021) and TAPPS Second Team All-District (2020).
Maddie Heiss – University at Buffalo - Basketball
Heiss transferred from Highland Park this past season where she averaged 8.1 PPG, 3.2 RPG and 2.1 APG. She is also a great three point shooter, where she averaged 40% from deep last season. Heiss was named to the UIL District 13-5A First Team last season.
Sierra Ross - Boston College - Rowing
Ross has rowed for Dallas United for the past four years. This season Ross has been on the Women's Youth Varsity 8+ where they have finished 53rd in Boston and got gold in Oklahoma. Last season at the USRowing Central Championship, Ross and her boat won the gold, which was DUC's fifth in a row.
Raegan Stickney - Lenior-Rhyne University - Swimming
Stickney is a captain of the Bishop Lynch swim team and has been in the program for four years. In the TAPPS state meet last season, Stickney finished sixth in the 500-yard freestyle. He was also a part of the 400 freestyle relay that finished third at state.
Ashlyn Zilliken – University of Arizona - Beach Volleyball
Zilliken is a four year member of the volleyball program and also a two-time TAPPS Champion in beach volleyball. The last two TAPPS sand championships, Zilliken has been paired with Katie Blomberg (current beach player at Arizona State University) and current Friar
Claire Hatfield. She was named TAPPS Honorable Mention All-District last season.
