DALLAS, TX -- In the annual men's basketball "Battle of Peavy" the Friars defeated Bryan Adams 60-46 last night on the road. Over the past six years, this game has become a fun neighborhood rivalry as the schools are separated by just 0.9 miles down Peavy Road.
Baker Trent had a spectacular night on the court as the senior finished with 11 points, six rebounds, six steals, and five assists.
Nathan Day continues his hot start to the year with one of his best games of the season last night. He tied his career-high in points with 17 on 7-10 shooting while also grabbing six rebounds and dishing out two assists. Day is second on the team averaging 10.9 points this year.
The backcourt continued their great start to the season as
Devin Miller and Trent combined to have 22 points, nine rebounds, nine assists, and 10 steals. Trent is averaging nearly four assists per game this season while having a 2:1 A/TO ratio.
Paxton Scalf had another solid game off the bench in the 11 minutes he saw action. The sophomore scored six points and grabbed four rebounds to help the Friars dominate the paint. Overall, the Friars outscored Bryan Adams 38-24 in the paint.

SUB-VARSITY:
The junior varsity team defeated Bryan Adams in dominant fashion last night, 63-14. They are now 3-2 on the season.
NEXT UP:
The men's basketball team will take part in the South San Tournament in San Antonio from November 30-December 2. Their first game is against Clear Spring at 6:30 p.m. on 11/30.
