ADDISON, TX -- The Bishop Lynch volleyball team traveled north last night and took care of business against Trinity Christian Academy. The Friars (18-12, 4-1) swept the Lady Trojans (6-17-1, 0-5) in one of the quickest matches of the season and the Friars second sweep of district play.

The Friars were in total control from the opening serve to the final point. They outhit the Trojans .298 to .031 and had 36 kills to just their 16.

In the first set, Cate Hatfield reached a massive milestone as the senior recorded her 2,000 career assist. To add a cherry to the top, Hatfield set up her twin sister Claire Hatfield for the kill to get to 2,000.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
"The Friars took the first set from the home team rather quickly with a final score of 25-11. Madison Pflum, Avery Seitz, and Cate Hatfield all recorded three kills while the team had 12 total with just three hitting errors.  
The Trojans fought hard in the second set, making it the closest set of the night. The Friars pulled away at the end and took the set 25-18 behind Pflum. The sophomore middle had another three kills on only four attempts while also serving two aces.

The third set looked more like the first with BLVB taking the set 25-10 and the match 3-0. Pflum once again led the Friars in kills with three more. She hit an incredible .600 with a game-high nine kills in the match.

JV1: The JV1 team not only defeated TCA last night 2-0 but they finished the Frisco Flyer Tournament last weekend with a bang. They defeated Frisco Reedy, Sachse, and Prosper on Saturday to become champions of the silver bracket.
