Women dominate at BL Invitational

DALLAS, TX -- The Bishop Lynch swim team hosted the BL Invitational on Saturday, honoring seniors Caroline Ellis and Ella Nichols during its annual senior meet. The women's team cruised to a commanding 116-36 victory over Nolan Catholic, while the men's team finished second, defeating Bishop Dunne but falling to the Vikings.

The women swept all 11 events, securing first and second place in eight of them. Caroline Hays (50 Free & 500 Free) and Grier Beeson (200 IM & 100 Free) each earned two individual gold medals. Carolina Girard (200 Free), Ella Whitney (100 Fly), and Penelope Peck (100 Breast) also contributed with event wins.

All three women's relays captured gold, with the teams listed below:
On the men's side, Rush Trent stood out with two individual podium finishes, taking first in the 100-yard backstroke and third in the 100-yard freestyle. The men also found success in the relays, finishing third in the 200 Medley Relay and second in the 200 Free Relay.

NEXT UP:
The Friars look forward to hosting another meet this week against John Paul II and Bryan Adams. It will be on Wednesday, October 16 at the KayCee Pool, with the first race starting at 5:45 p.m.
