Estes hits a milestone, Friars fall in the regular-season finale

DALLAS, TX -- The Bishop Lynch Friars wrapped up their regular season with a 40-29 loss to the defending state champions, Parish Episcopal on Saturday. The Friars were led by William Estes, who not only rushed for a career-high 221 yards and two touchdowns but eclipsed the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the season.

With the loss, the Friars finish the season going 5-5, 3-3 to earn fourth place in TAPPS Division1-District 1. Because of the fourth-place finish, Bishop Lynch earned a home playoff game for the second consecutive season after not having one since 2017. The game will be held this Friday, November 15, against Concordia Lutheran who finished fifth in TAPPS Division 1-District 2 with a 7-3, 4-3 record.
