Friars Look Strong in Private School Classic

PLANO, Texas — After an impressive start to the season, the Bishop Lynch baseball team delivered another strong performance at the Private School Classic last week, finishing 3-1. The Friars won their first three games before falling to Liberty Christian in the finale.

Bishop Lynch's offense was on fire throughout the four-game stretch, averaging nearly seven runs per game. Seniors Sebastian Vasquez and Luke Sokolovic led the charge, combining to go 14-for-23 (.609) with three doubles, a home run, seven RBIs, and 10 runs.

The Friars' pitching staff also found success, posting a 1.97 ERA in tournament play. Vasquez led the way on the mound, throwing six innings and recording three strikeouts in a win over HSAA.

Top Pitcher: Bryce Rapavi — Three innings, no hits, two strikeouts

Saturday vs. Liberty Christian (9-2, L)
Top Pitcher: Sebastian Vasquez — Five innings, two strikeouts, two hits
