Friars Stay Hot With 15-5 Win Over ECCHO

DALLAS — The Bishop Lynch baseball team continued its fast start to the season Tuesday night, rolling past Ellis County Christian Homeschool Organization, 15-5, at McIngvale Field. With the win, the Friars improve to 2-0 on the season after scoring 12 and 15 runs in their first two games.

Parks Belknap and Rett Kincaid paced the Friar offense, each collecting three hits and three RBIs on a picture-perfect evening at The Mack. Two of Kincaid's hits went for doubles, pushing his extra-base hit total to three through the opening two games.

The game turned in the bottom of the second inning. With the score tied 2-2, Hayes Bonds laced a line drive into right field for a triple, scoring Luke Schlebach and giving Bishop Lynch a 3-2 lead. From there, the Friars never looked back.

On the mound, Bishop Lynch pitching was efficient and effective, allowing just five hits while striking out nine ECCHO batters. Jake Bacsik earned the win, tossing two scoreless innings with two strikeouts. Peyton Cooper and Will McGuinness each added a team-high three strikeouts in relief.

  • Since 2022, Bishop Lynch is 2-0 against ECCHO. 
  • The Friars are 2-0 for the first time since the 2023 season. 
  • Bishop Lynch scored seven or more runs in an inning just three times all of last season — they have already done it twice in the first two games of 2026. 
NEXT UP:
Bishop Lynch begins tournament play Thursday at the Matt Clark Classic. The Friars will open against Fort Worth Christian with the first pitch scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Lovelace Family Baseball Stadium in Argyle, Texas.
