Friars’ Season Comes to an End in Regional Finals

ARGYLE — The Bishop Lynch baseball team saw its season come to an end Monday night at Lovelace Family Baseball Stadium, falling to Liberty Christian in both games of the TAPPS Division I Regional Finals by scores of 8-2 and 6-2.

Despite the disappointing result, the night ended with a memorable moment for the Friars. In the final at-bat of his Bishop Lynch career, senior Noah Herrmann launched his first career home run — a two-out solo shot to left field in the final inning.

Liberty Christian gained early momentum in both contests, scoring three runs in the first inning of Game 1 and four runs in the opening frame of Game 2. The early deficits proved difficult to overcome as the Friars closed the season with a 19-18-1 overall record.

The regional appearance marked the second consecutive season Bishop Lynch advanced to the TAPPS Division I Regional Finals, continuing the program's recent postseason success.

Congratulations to the entire Bishop Lynch baseball team and coaching staff on another strong season. Thank you to the players, coaches, families, and Friar Nation for the unwavering support throughout the year.
