Softball and Baseball Claim numerous Post Season Awards

DALLAS — While the baseball and softball seasons may have come to a close, recognition for both programs continues to roll in. Following strong spring campaigns, multiple Friars earned postseason honors as TAPPS announced its All-District selections. Below is a look at this year's district award winners, with All-State honors still to be announced.

Baseball
The Friars were well represented on the All-District teams after advancing to the TAPPS Division I Regional Finals. Julian Alcala, Noah Herrmann, and Will McGuinness each earned First Team All-District recognition.

Jake Bacsik, Hayes Bonds, Parks Belknap, and Elliot Brown were named to the Second Team All-District, while Cam Carpio earned Honorable Mention All-District honors.

Bishop Lynch also brought home several major district awards. Alcala was named District Pitcher of the Year, Herrmann earned Co-Defensive Player of the Year, and McGuinness was selected as Newcomer of the Year. Head coach Justin McFadden was also recognized as Co-Coach of the Year.

Softball
The Friar softball team also earned district recognition following its spring season. Aliyah Cahill and Anna Medaris were named Second Team All-District, while Maddy Holter and Camila Moreno-Lopez received Honorable Mention All-District recognition.
