Friars Throw Combined No-Hitter, Defeat St. Mark's at The Mack

| By:
DALLAS, Texas — Will Heatly, John Medaris, and Jake Bacsik combined for a no-hitter Tuesday night in Bishop Lynch's 12-0 victory over St. Mark's at McIngvale Field. The trio struck out 11 batters on just 98 pitches to complete the five-inning no-hitter.

Heatly got the start on the mound, pitching 3 2/3 innings while doubling his previous season high with eight strikeouts. Medaris took over in relief, tossing one inning and striking out two. Bacsik closed out the game, striking out the only batter he faced on four pitches to secure the victory.

The Friars didn't record any big hits but took advantage of seven walks and four errors by the Lions to push 12 runs across the plate.

With the win, Bishop Lynch improves to 12-6 as it wraps up non-district play.

NEXT UP:
The Friars open district play on Friday, March 7, against Legacy Christian. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. at McIngvale Field.
