Peterson Reaches Milestone as Friars Fall to Prestonwood

| By:
DALLAS – Faith Peterson entered Tuesday's game with 99 career steals and wasted no time reaching the century mark, swiping second base in the first inning to record her 100th stolen base. She later scored on an RBI from Aliyah Cahill, but Bishop Lynch fell to Prestonwood Christian Academy, 13-1.

Despite the Friars' struggles this season, Peterson continues to lead the young team while adding personal milestones to her decorated career. A three-time All-State selection, the senior is delivering another standout season.

She leads the team in hits (27), batting average (.628), runs (30), and stolen bases (32). Earlier this season, she appeared in her 100th career game for the Friars, having helped guide the team to 38 wins and a TAPPS state championship appearance as a freshman.

Peterson holds a career .519 batting average with 139 hits, 117 runs, 53 walks, 100 stolen bases, 74 RBIs, 15 triples, 12 doubles, and three home runs. She has also recorded five pitching wins and 73 strikeouts in limited appearances.

Bishop Lynch returns to action on Wednesday, April 3, at Ursuline Academy. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.
