Friars' season comes to an end in Regionals

| By:
ARGYLE, Texas – The Bishop Lynch baseball season came to an end Monday in the TAPPS Division I regional final, with the Friars falling 6-3 to Liberty Christian at Lovelace Family Baseball Stadium.

The Friars jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning, highlighted by an RBI single from Luke Sokolovic and a pair of Warrior errors. Liberty Christian responded with four runs in the bottom of the second, including a three-run home run, and never trailed again.

Sebastian Vasquez led the Friars at the plate, going 3-for-4. Jack Carpenter and Sokolovic each drove in a run. Will Heatly delivered a strong performance out of the bullpen, allowing just one unearned run over 3 1/3 innings.

Congratulations to the entire baseball program on another outstanding season. The Bishop Lynch Athletic Department would like to especially thank the seniors for setting a new standard for Friar baseball. This senior class was part of three 27-plus win seasons and finished their careers with an impressive 85 total victories.
