Next Level Friars: Wrapping Up the 2024-2025 Year

With college sports wrapping up, this will be our final Next Level Friars update of the 2024-2025 year. Throughout the year, we've highlighted Bishop Lynch alumni competing in collegiate athletics, and we're proud of everything they've accomplished. With all seasons now concluded, we wrap up by recognizing the dedication and achievements of our Friars at the next level one last time this school year.

Football

Andy Cardenas '20 - Southern Nazarene University: Cardenas finished the season starting 10 of the 11 games this season on the offensive line for the Storm.

Ayden Howard '20 - Villanova University: Howard finished the season playing in 14 games for Villanova. He had a career-high 44 total tackles with 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble.

Logan Monroe '21 Southwestern Oklahoma State University: Monroe finished the season playing in 11 games for the Bulldogs. He finished with a team-high 101 tackles with 9.0 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks. Monroe also recorded one interception and one forced fumble.

Aguek Ajack '22 - Wisconsin Lutheran College: Ajack finished the season playing in two games for the Warriors.

Holt Chavez '22 - Wisconsin Lutheran College: Chavez finished the season with four catches for 29 yards on offense and four tackles on defense for the Warriors.

Aidan Humason '22 Greenville University: Humason finished the season playing in three games on the offensive line for the Panthers.

Justin Lawrence '22 - Colgate University: Lawrence finished the season playing in six games for Colgate. He recorded eight tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss on the season. 

Kason McFadden '22 Wisconsin Lutheran College: McFadden finished the season with 19 tackles and one interception for the Warriors.

Ethan Morrison '22 - DePauw University: Morrison finished the season participating in one game for the Tigers. He was named to the Tiger Pride Honor Roll for achieving at least a 3.4 GPA.

Isaiah Schmidtke '22 - Bryant University: Schmidtke finished the season playing in seven games for the Bulldogs. He recorded five kickoff returns for a total of 46 return yards.

Cooper Alford '23 - The University of the South: Alford finished the season with 13 receptions for 150 yards and one touchdown for the Tigers.

Zachery Curtis '23 - Lamar University: Curtis finished the season seeing limited action for Lamar.

Jackson Gathings '23 - Oberlin College: Gathings finished the season playing in two games for the Yeomen.

Godswill Giadolor '24 East Texas A&M: Giadolor did not see action this past season for the Lions.

Jordan Hooks '24 - Sul Ross State University: Hooks finished the season with seven tackles and one tackle for loss for the Lobos.

Luis Moreno '24 - McNeese State University: Moreno did not see action this past season at McNeese.

PJ Washington '24 East Texas A&M: Washington did not see action this past season for the Lions.

 

Women's Soccer

Jaida Thomas '19 - #23 University of Tennessee: Thomas finished the season playing in 19 matches and recording one goal and one assist for the Lady Vols.

Gabby Dunn '21 - University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point: Dunn finished the season starting in 19 matches and recording four goals and seven assists for the Pointers. She was named First Team All-WIAC.

Mariana Zevallos '21 - Eastern New Mexico University: Zevallos finished the season playing in 16 matches for the Greyhounds. 

Keanne Alamo '22 - Hardin-Simmons University: Alamo finished the season playing in 12 matches and recording two assists for the Cowboys.

Emily Lozano '22 - Millsaps College: Lozano finished the season starting in every match for Millsaps as the goalkeeper and recorded 106 saves for the Majors. She was named Honorable Mention All-SAA.

Alyx Beard '23 - Delaware State University: Beard finished the season playing in 17 matches this season for the Hornets.

Valerie Veloz '23 - MidAmerica Nazarene University: Veloz finished the season playing in 22 matches and recording one assist for the Pioneers.

Lily Bracken '24 - Trinity College: Bracken finished the season starting in 14 matches for Trinity as the goalkeeper and recorded 60 saves for the Bantams.

 

Men's Soccer

Eugene Tremblay '24 - Wayland Baptist University JV: Tremblay had a consistent role on the Pioneer's junior varsity team.
 

Volleyball

Charlotte Hain '21 - Dominican University (12-13): Hain finished the season with 237 digs and 38 assists for the Stars.

Kylee Connally '22 - University of Hartford (9-13): Connally finished the season with 280 assists and 21 aces for the Hawks.

Lyric Berry '23 - Providence College: Berry finished the season playing in 25 matches for the Friars. She recorded 133 kills, 19 digs, and 56 blocks on the year.

Liya Girma '23 - Plattsburgh State (4-22): Girma finished the season with 214 kills, 40 aces, and 219 digs, all team highs for the Cardinals.

Leah Oyewole '23 - Washington University in St. Louis: Oyewole finished the season playing in 36 matches for Washington. She was second on the team with 332 kills and third on the team in blocks with 69. Oyewole was named Second Team All-UAA and UAA Offensive Athlete of the Week (10/14).

Cate Hatfield '24 - William & Mary (12-15): Hatfield finished the season with 97 assists, 14 aces, and 46 digs for the Tribe.

Paloma Gonzalez Jaramillo '24 - Stonehill College (7-19): Gonzalez Jaramillo finished the season with 140 kills and 20 blocks for the Skyhawks.

Cheyenne Luper '24 - Western Illinois University: Luper did not see action this past season for the Leathernecks.

Delaney Moon '24 Fairfield University: Moon finished the season playing in seven matches for Fairfield. She recorded 10 digs, four assists, and one ace in 21 sets. 

 

Women's Swimming

Men's Basketball

Imo Essien '21 Old Dominion University: Essien medically retired from basketball this year. 

Grayson Bell '22 - Dallas Christian College: Bell played in 18 games and started in 17 for the DCC this past season. He averaged 6.3 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.

Logan Epes '22 - Missouri State University: Epes played in 24 games for the Bears this past season. He averaged 2.1 points and 1.0 rebounds per game. 

Sean Calloway '22 - Howard Payne University: Calloway saw action in one game for Howard Payne this past season.

Aiden Schnurr '23 - Austin College (2-1): Schnurr played in 22 games and started in five for the Roos this past season. He averaged 5.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game.

Corey Webster '23 - Calumet College of St. Joseph: Webster played on the Crimson Wave's junior varsity team this past season.

Davien Taylor '24 - Oklahoma Wesleyan University: Taylor played on the Eagles' junior varsity team this past season. 

 

Women's Basketball

Paige Bradley '21 Tulsa University: Bradley played in 28 games and started in 27 for Tulsa this past season. She averged 7.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game. She was named AAC Weekly Honorable Mention (12/16) and listed on the CSC Academic All-District Team.

Talia DePetrillo '21 - Iona University: DePetrillo played in 32 games and started in 31 for Iona this past season. She averaged 4.2 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game.

Ayen Angoi '22 - Hofstra University: Angoi played in eight games this past season for the Pride. She averaged 2.6 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.

Madison Cockrell '22 University of Incarnate Word: Cockrell played in 25 games and started in eight this past season for UIW. She averaged 5.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game.

Natalie Cardenas '23 - Henderson State University: Cardenas played in 23 and started in 17 games for the Reddies this past season. She averaged 15.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. 

Maddie Heiss '23 - Wofford College: Heiss played in 29 and started in 28 games for Wofford this past season. She averaged 9.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game.

Adriana Medina '24 - University of Dallas: Medina played in 25 and started in 21 games this past season for the University of Dallas. She averaged 5.8 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.

Ellery Sample '24 - University of Texas at Dallas: Sample played in 24 and started in one game for the Comets this past season. She averaged 7.0 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. She finished the season with a 57.9 field goal percentage, second best in school history. 

 

Bowling

Beach Volleyball

Ashlyn Zilliken '23 - University of Arizona: Zilliken led the Wildcats in wins this season, posting a 21-8 record. She was named to the Big 12 All-Conference Team for the first time in her career. The 21 victories are tied for the eighth-most in program history in a single season. 

Baseball

Darries Boyd '20 -Arkansas-Pine Bluff: Boyd appeared in six games for the Lions this past season.

George Hettrick '20 - St. Edward's University: Hettrick appeared in 17 games for the Goats as a pitcher. He finished with 71 strikeouts over 86.1 innings pitched with a 5.42 ERA.

Levi Herrick '21 - Simpson College: Herrick appeared in 21 games for The Storm this past season. He hit .262 with three doubles and five RBIs.

Austin Schnurr '22 - Illinois Tech: Schnurr appeared in 11 games for the Scarlet Hawks this past season as a relief pitcher. He went 2-0, striking out nine over 18.0 innings pitched. 

Joe Yoxall '22 - Bates College: Yoxall started in 19 games and appeared in 27 games for the Bobcats this past season. He hit .250 on the season with four RBIs while also having a .964 fielding percentage.

Ryder Bunfill '23 - Asbury University: Bunfill started in 17 games and appeared in 19 for Asbury this past season. He hit .212 on the year with two doubles and two RBIs.

Cash Carpenter '23 - St. Edward's University: Carpenter did not see action this season for the Goats.

Ben McLean '24 - College of Wooster: McLean did not see action this season for the Fighting Scots.

Xavier Perdomo '24 - Dallas College: Perdomo appeared in 10 games for the Thunderducks this past season. He hit .313 with six RBIs and had a .929 fielding percentage.

Grayson Wise '24 -  East Texas Baptist University: Wise appeared in one game for the Tigers this past season. He scored one run as a pinch runner. 

 

Men's Golf

Owen Sibley '23 - Hampden-Sydney College: Sibley averaged 77.38 stokes in 16 rounds this past season. 
 

Men's Lacrosse

Matthew Parsons '22 - Hendrix College: Parsons appeared in 13 games for Hendrix this past season. He scored seven goals and had five assists with 14 ground balls.

Jeffery Jordan '24 - Hampton University: Jordan did not see action this past season for Hampton.

 

Women's Lacrosse

Jenna Nowland '22 - Dickinson College: Nowland appeared in 15 games with 13 starts this past season for the Red Devils. She scored 13 goals and had 12 assists.

Daryn Raleigh '23 - Rhodes College: Raleigh appeared in 15 games with 11 assists for the Lynx this past season. She recorded 20 ground balls with eight caused turnovers. 

Rowing

Ellie Rodriguez '22 - University of Texas: Rodriguez helped the Longhorns finish third at the NCAA National Championships. She competed in the National Championship on the II Eight team.

Abby Fowler '22 - University of Tennessee: Fowler helped the Volunteers finish fifth at the NCAA National Championships. She competed in the National Championship on the II Eight team.

Sierra Ross '23 - Boston College: Ross helped the Eagles finished in 12th at the ACC Championships. She competed on the II Eight team.

Nora Thompson '23 Southern Methodist University: Thompson helped the Mustangs finish eighth at the ACC Championships. 

Caroline Payseur '23 - Drexel University: Payseur competed in two races this past season for the Dragons, including a victory at the Navy Day Regatta in the novice 4+ race.

Paisley Rodriguez '24 - University of Texas: Rodriguez appeared in one race for the Longhorns this season, racing in the III Eight at the Longhorn Invite.

Lauren O'Grady '24 - University of Notre Dame: O'Grady helped the Irish finish ninth at the ACC championships. She competed on the III Eight team. 

 

Track & Field

Natalie Lark '20 University of Louisville: Lark competed in seven meets for the Cardinals this past season. She qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships for the first time in her career, earning Honorable Mention All-American distinction. Lark broke the Louisville program record with a mark of 14-8.

Jillian Jackson '22 St. Louis University: Jackson competed in eight meets for the Billikens this past season. She recorded a personal best of 8.03 in the 60 meters at the Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational. Jackson also helped the Billikens score points at the A-10 Championships as a member of the 4x400 relay team.

Alese Banks '23 - Air Force Academy: Banks recorded the fourth and fifth best long jumps in program history in her first year for the Falcons. Her 18'10.75" jump at the Bryan Clay Invitational was the fourth-best long jump in Academy history.

Devin Miller '24 - Prairie View A&M University: Miller achieved fourth place in the high jump at the SWAC Outdoor Championships to close out the season. He cleared a season-best 2.07m to help the Panthers finish seventh.

Seb Yervasi '24 Texas A&M - Commerce: Yervasi wrapped up his season with a fourth-place finish in the shot put at the Corky/Crofoot Shootout. His season best was 46'11.75" at the David Noble Angelo State Relays, resulting in a sixth-place finish. 

 

Softball

Evelyn Santos '22 - University of Texas at Dallas: Santos appeared in 16 games with four starts for the Comets this past season. She had seven hits with one double and four RBIs on the year.

Mya Dunn '23 - Sterling College: Dunn appeared in 36 games for the Warriors this past season. She hit .270 with two home runs, two doubles, and 17 RBIs.
