Women’s Swim Opens Season With Victory Over Rival Ursuline

| By:
DALLAS – The reigning back-to-back state champion Bishop Lynch women's swim team opened its 2025 season in strong fashion, defeating Ursuline 93-76 at the David A. Segal Family Aquatic Center. On the men's side, the Friars showed improvement from last year's matchup with Jesuit but ultimately fell 152-21.

The women dominated the meet, winning eight of 11 events. Grier Beeson and Ella Whitney led the way, each capturing four first-place finishes. Together, they swam on the winning 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay teams. Beeson also claimed individual victories in the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke, while Whitney took the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly.

For the men, junior captain Rush Trent provided the highlight of the evening, placing third in the 100 backstroke and fourth in the 50 freestyle.
