Irish Too Much for Friars as Bishop Lynch Swept at Home

DALLAS – The Bishop Lynch volleyball team (16-9) was swept at home for only the second time this season, falling to one of Oklahoma's top programs, Bishop McGuinness (16-2), on Saturday morning.

Bishop Lynch 0, Bishop McGuinness 3 (25-21, 25-13, 25-21)

The Friars could never find their rhythm as the Irish controlled the match from start to finish. McGuinness made the biggest difference at the service line, out-acing BL 10-3 and posting a 2.04 serve-receive rating compared to the Friars' 1.73.

Senior captain Maddie Sue Pflum led Bishop Lynch with nine kills on a .304 hitting percentage while adding two blocks and two digs. Katie Rebuck anchored the defense with 12 digs, and Maia Raleigh tallied her 15th match of the year with 20+ assists, finishing with 20 on the afternoon.
