Cross Country Dominates Battle of the Buff

FORT WORTH — The Bishop Lynch cross country program made a statement this past weekend at the Battle of the Buff, with the men's team finishing first overall and the women's team placing third.

On the men's side, junior Harman Pope captured the individual title with a time of 16:54.38 in the varsity 5K. Teammate Alex Malakoff added a top-10 finish, placing sixth at 18:05.14.

In the women's 3.2K, sophomore Emme Driscoll paced the Friars with a fourth-place individual finish in 12:38.37, helping the team secure third overall.

The Friars will take next weekend off before returning to competition at the Lovejoy Fall Festival on Sept. 13.
