Bishop Lynch Women Claim Thomas Jefferson Invitational Title, Men Finish Fourth

DALLAS – The Bishop Lynch women's cross country team captured its first title of the season with a strong victory at the Thomas Jefferson Invitational this past weekend at the Jesse Owens Athletic Complex. The men's team also fared well, placing fourth overall and finishing ahead of TAPPS rival Parish Episcopal.

Standout freshman Emme Driscoll led the way for the Friars, finishing fifth overall with a time of 20:53 in the three-mile race. She was followed closely by strong performances from Lauren Robert (13th), Cece Degeyter (14th), Margaret Reidy (16th), Elliott Guinnee (19th), and Daniel Cantu (20th), giving Bishop Lynch six runners in the top 20 of the 44 competitors.

On the men's side, Dash Raya turned in another standout performance, placing fourth overall with a time of 17:22. Alex Malakoff (14th) and Landry Rose (20th) also finished inside the top 20 of the 77-runner field.

The Friars return to action on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Jesuit Classic. The meet begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Prestonwood Polo Club in Oak Point, Texas.
