Bishop Lynch Athletics Celebrates Inaugural BL Collegiate Signee Showcase

DALLAS — The Bishop Lynch Athletic Department hosted its inaugural BL Collegiate Signee Showcase on Thursday night, celebrating members of the Class of 2026 who have earned the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level.

The event served as a full Friar celebration, featuring hors d'oeuvres, music, and time for fellowship while honoring the student-athletes and the programs that helped shape them.

Students, families, friends, teachers, administrators, and members of the Friar community were in attendance, contributing to a memorable evening.

Below are the 10 student-athletes who participated in the showcase and will continue their academic and athletic careers at the next level:

MEN'S BASKETBALL
Jeremiah Williams, Adams State University — Williams was a four-year letterman for Bishop Lynch men's basketball. He appeared in 119 games and scored 1,609 career points, averaging 13.5 points per game. As a senior, he led the Friars to the TAPPS regional playoffs while averaging 20.4 points per game and shooting 49% from the field, 36% from 3-point range, and 80% from the free-throw line.

Williams earned first-team all-state honors in 2025 and 2026, first-team all-district honors in 2025 and 2026, honorable mention all-district in 2024, and was named district offensive player of the year in 2025.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Fre Vowels, Illinois Institute of Technology — Vowels was a four-year letterman for Bishop Lynch women's basketball. She appeared in 151 games and scored 1,620 career points, averaging 10.7 points per game. As a senior, she helped lead the Friars to the TAPPS 6A semifinals, averaging 11.6 points and 3.1 assists per game.

Vowels was named first-team all-state in 2026, second-team all-state in 2024 and 2025, first-team all-district from 2024-26 and honorable mention all-district in 2023. She was also named district newcomer of the year in 2023 and district offensive player of the year in 2026 and helped lead the Friars to the 2024 TAPPS state championship.

Abby Galvan, LeTourneau University — Galvan was a two-year letterman for Bishop Lynch women's basketball. She appeared in 35 games, averaging 2.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. As a senior, she helped the Friars reach the TAPPS 6A semifinals.

Galvan earned honorable mention all-district honors in 2026.

FOOTBALL
Liam Bell, Carnegie Mellon University — Bell was a two-year letterman on the Bishop Lynch football team. An offensive lineman, he helped the Friars set program records in passing yards, rushing yards, and points per game. As a senior, he helped lead the team to the TAPPS regional playoffs.

Ishmael Muhammad, University of Wyoming — Muhammad was a three-year letterman for Bishop Lynch football. He appeared in 35 games, recording 113 receptions for 1,399 yards and 10 receiving touchdowns. He also added 429 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns. As a senior, he helped lead the Friars to the TAPPS regional playoffs.

Muhammad earned second-team all-state honors in 2023 and honorable mention all-state in 2024. He was also named first-team all-district in 2023, second-team all-district in 2024 and 2025, and district offensive newcomer of the year in 2023.

Cooper Timmons, University of Mary Hardin-Baylor — Timmons was a three-year letterman for Bishop Lynch football. As an offensive lineman, he helped the Friars set program records in passing yards, rushing yards, and points per game. As a senior, he helped lead the team to the TAPPS regional playoffs.

Timmons was named a team captain in 2025 and earned honorable mention all-district honors in 2024.

MEN'S LACROSSE
Alijah Prasavath, Hendrix College — Prasavath is a three-year letterman for Bishop Lynch men's lacrosse. This season, he has won 13 of 24 faceoffs as the team's primary FOGO and has helped the Friars secure a district championship as they prepare for the playoffs.

MEN'S SOCCER
Moises Bernabe, Texas A&M University–Texarkana — Bernabe was a four-year letterman for Bishop Lynch men's soccer. He recorded 30 career goals and 12 assists. As a senior, he totaled 12 goals and four assists while helping the Friars reach the TAPPS semifinals.

Bernabe earned honorable mention all-state honors in 2025, first-team all-district honors in 2025 and 2026, second-team all-district in 2024 and honorable mention all-district in 2023.

WOMEN'S SOCCER
Iyana Axson, Prairie View A&M University — Axson was a two-year letterman for Bishop Lynch women's soccer. A defender, she recorded one goal and two assists while helping anchor a unit that allowed just 17 goals over 40 matches across two seasons. As a senior, she helped lead the Friars to the TAPPS state championship.

Axson was named team captain in 2026 and earned first-team all-state and first-team all-district honors that same year. She was also named district defensive player of the year in 2026 and district newcomer of the year in 2025.

WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD
Trinity Thurman, Harding University — Thurman is a three-year letterman for Bishop Lynch women's track and field. Specializing in the pole vault, she owns the second-best mark in school history at 12 feet, 2.5 inches (3.72 meters). This season, she has qualified for the TAPPS North Regionals and is aiming to advance to the state meet.

Thurman earned a bronze medal at the TAPPS state meet last season, clearing 10 feet.
