Bishop Lynch High School Announces New Head Men's Soccer Coach

DALLAS - Jimmy Stanton joins Bishop Lynch High School as head men's soccer coach, bringing more than two decades of coaching, playing, and player development experience to the Friars. A highly respected leader in the soccer community, Coach Stanton has built a career centered around developing student-athletes, mentoring young players, and creating successful programs at both the high school and club levels.

Coach Stanton earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business from Southwestern University, where he was a standout goalkeeper for the Pirates from 1998–2001. A three-year starter, he set school records for shutouts and wins in a season in 2001.

Throughout his coaching career, Coach Stanton has served in a variety of leadership roles, including program director, director of goalkeeping, academy director, and head coach. He currently serves as director of goalkeeping with Atlético Dallas Youth and Academy programs and previously joined the Bishop Lynch coaching staff as an assistant head coach in 2024.

A dedicated educator and mentor, Coach Stanton holds multiple coaching certifications, including a USSF National B License, USSF Goalkeeper C License, USSF National C License, USYS National Youth License, and advanced coaching diplomas through the United Soccer Coaches organization. He looks forward to continuing to build a championship culture while developing Friar student-athletes who compete with passion, discipline, and integrity.

Bishop Lynch would also like to thank former head men's soccer coach Stewart Brown for his leadership and dedication to the Friar soccer program over the past three seasons. During his tenure, Coach Brown guided Bishop Lynch to a 32-22-9 overall record, including a district championship in 2025 and a TAPPS semifinal appearance. The Friars appreciate Coach Brown's commitment to developing student-athletes and his contributions to the continued success of the program.
