DALLAS — The Bishop Lynch volleyball team earned its 20th win of the season Thursday night, defeating Nolan Catholic 3-1 in a thrilling matchup at the Competition Gym. The victory moved the Friars to 20-8 overall and 1-1 in district play, while the Vikings fell to 17-10.
The win marked the first meeting between the two programs since last year's TAPPS semifinals, when Bishop Lynch earned a 3-1 victory over Nolan Catholic.

Thursday night's matchup featured high-level play from both teams, with the four-set battle decided by just nine total points, 99-90. The Friars received standout performances from several key contributors, including a pair of double-doubles from Kylie Love and Camila Figueroa.
Love delivered her first 20-kill, 20-dig performance since last year's semifinal matchup against Nolan Catholic. The senior outside hitter finished with 21 kills and 21 digs to lead the Friars in both categories.
Figueroa added a team-high 22 digs to go along with 15 kills, four assists and two aces. Charlie Wells also made her presence felt in the middle, recording 15 kills and four blocks.
Senior setter Maia Raleigh orchestrated the offense throughout the night, finishing with 51 assists, nine digs and one kill.
