Addison, TX -- The Bishop Lynch men's and women's swim teams wrapped up their dual meet schedule with a great outing at Greenhill. This meet had five schools competing in the Ginsburg Natatorium - Bishop Lynch, Greenhill School, Parish Episcopal, Cistercian Preparatory School, and The Episcopal School of Dallas.
The women defeated Greenhill (156-124), ESD (188-10), and Parish (182-59) to win the entire meet, while the men fought hard and earned a win over ESD (84-24) while falling to Greenhill (192-49), Parish (92-73), and Cistercian (121-64).
HIGHLIGHTS:
Ella Whitney was one of the rare double winners at the meet. The freshman got the gold in both the 200 IM (2:20.12) and the 500 Freestyle (5:44.26).
Jayden Plemons dropped nearly ten seconds in her 200 Free, while her teammate
Nicholas Simmer saw a 24-second improvement in the men's 200 Free.
Sophomore
Kathryn Lawrence shocked everyone by beating her previous personal best by a HUGE margin - more than six seconds - in the shortest race of the night, the 50 Free.
Lily Roe,
Caroline Ellis, and
Maisie Swift went 2-3-4 in the 100 Backstroke.
Along with
Hanna Whitney, both
Carolina Girard and
Jordan Granberg picked up valuable points in the 100 Breaststroke, finishing 1-3-4.
In the final race of the night, the women's 400 Free Relay race was complete domination by the Friars.
Phoebe Johnson,
Ella Whitney,
Ella Nichols, and
Abby Beeson won by a pool length.

The team has a little break from BL competition as the next meet is the TAPPS Regionals. The meet is on Friday, February 2 at the Mansfield ISD Natatorium.
