Game Recap: Men's Basketball | | BLHS Sports Information

Friars' fourth-quarter comeback came up just short last night in Plano

PLANO -- The Bishop Lynch men's basketball team always finds ways to play close tough games against John Paul II and last night was no different. The Friars came back from being down eight points late in the fourth quarter and having a shot at the win. After a great steal, the half-court shot from Corey Webster hit the rim but didn't fall as the Friars dropped their last regular season game 71-70 to the Cardinals.

Leading the way for the Friars were Baker Trent and Aiden Schnurr, who combined for 41 points throughout the night. Trent tied a career-high with 23 points while Schnurr added 18.

Cole Milkereit continued to show his clutch-ness as he hit two late threes for the Friars. He finished with eight points, 11 rebounds and four assists.

The bench play for the Friars was spectacular throughout the evening. Trent, who was the leading scorer with 23 points, and Hamilton Plumlee were big for the black and white. Plumlee finished with seven points and two rebounds on the night.
