All three ladies medal at regionals, Fontane advances to state competition

PROSPER, TX -- Lydia Fontane, Larkin Wall, and Abby Toscano all represented Bishop Lynch at the state of Texas Region 6 Regional Powerlifting yesterday. All three young women won medals in their respective weight divisions while placing in the top five. Fontane finished in second place to advance to the state competition.

While lifting her way to a silver medal, Fontane broke her deadlift school record when she successfully lifted 320 pounds.

Larkin Wall also broke a school record on the way to her fourth-place finish. She successfully lifted 210 pounds in the deadlift. She now holds all the records in both the 97-pound and 105-pound weight classes.

Abby Toscano placed fifth place at the regional meet and recorded a personal best 370-pound squat.

There were 100 teams in Bishop Lynch's regional - both public and private schools. For all three of our ladies to finish in the top five is a huge accomplishment. Congratulations to all of three ladies, and good luck to Lydia Fontane at state.
