Bishop Lynch at Nolan Catholic: Area Preview

DALLAS, Texas — Bishop Lynch women's basketball will make its second trip to Harnett Arena this season as the Friars take on Nolan Catholic tonight in a TAPPS 6A area playoff matchup. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. and will be livestreamed on Nolan Catholic's Hudl Fan.

These two teams are familiar foes, having met in January when the Friars traveled to Fort Worth. In that matchup, Bishop Lynch's defense was dominant, holding Nolan Catholic to just 29 points in a 44-29 victory.  

Bishop Lynch at a Glance 

The defending state champion Friars finished the regular season 19-16 overall and 4-4 in district play, securing the No. 3 seed in District 1. They have leaned heavily on their backcourt, with Londyn Perry, Fre Vowels and, Addy Flowers combining to score 31.1 of the team's 46.4 points per district game.

Bishop Lynch has performed well away from home, boasting a .560 winning percentage in road and neutral-site games. The Friars average 47 points per game while allowing 46.

Nolan Catholic at a Glance 

Nolan Catholic (23-14, 5-1) secured the No. 2 seed in District 1 behind the leadership of captain Olivia Clark. Clark, who wears No. 1, guided the Vikings through a strong district campaign and has helped the team win five of its last six games. She scored a team-high 11 points in their previous meeting with Bishop Lynch.

The Lady Vikings average 47 points per game while allowing just 36. They have also been dominant at home, posting a 12-4 record at Harnett Arena, with one of those losses coming against the Friars.
