Krueger, Gardsbane Secure Wins, but Friars Fall to Legacy Christian

GARLAND, Texas – The Bishop Lynch tennis team put up a strong fight Thursday at the Jack Coleman Tennis Center but fell 5-3 to Legacy Christian Academy.

Cole Krueger and Alex Gardsbane earned dominant victories in the top men's and women's singles matches. Krueger cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win, while Gardsbane dropped just one game in a 6-0, 6-1 victory.

In men's doubles, Alejandro KolsterPassos and Saoirse Langford secured a hard-fought 6-4, 6-4 win, evening the men's score at 2-2.

Despite strong performances, the Friars were unable to complete the comeback, with Legacy Christian sealing the overall team win.

Krueger def. Eagles: 6-1, 6-2
Eagles def. Nathan Stuckey: 6-0, 6-7, 10-5
KolsterPassos/Langford def Eagles: 6-4, 6-4
Eagles def. James/Sullivan: 6-3, 6-7, 12-10

Women's
Gardsbane def. Eagles: 6-0, 6-1
Eagles def. Ramirez: 6-0, 6-3
Eagles def. Frazure/Armour: 6-0, 6-0

UP NEXT:
The Friars return to the court today, Feb. 28, to face Prestonwood Christian Academy. Matches begin at 3 p.m. at the Dallas Athletic Club.
