Parsons Earns First Career Win as Bishop Lynch Goes Undefeated in Houston

| By:
HOUSTON – The Bishop Lynch men's lacrosse team traveled to Houston for a weekend tour of the Bayou City, taking on Emery-Weiner and St. Pius X. It was a weekend to remember as the Friars defeated both the Jaguars (7-1) and Panthers (15-9), improving their record to 2-5 on the season.

With the victory over Emery-Weiner, first-year Head Coach William Parsons earned his first career win leading the Friars.

"Excited and proud to see Coach Parsons get his first win as our head Men's Lacrosse coach," said Director of Athletics Alex Cantillo. "I know how much he pours into this team each and every day, so it makes me extremely happy for him. Well-deserved and hard-earned!"

Much of the Friars' success came from the offensive side of the field. Cole Gathings had an outstanding weekend, leading the Friars in goals with 11 of the team's 15. He scored five against the Jaguars and six against the Panthers. Harrison Hatfield also made a strong impact, scoring four goals across the two games, including three against the Panthers.

The Friars return home to host Hillcrest this Wednesday, April 2. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at Roffino Stadium.
