Bishop Lynch Secures No. 2 Seed with Senior Night Victory

Box Score DALLAS — The Bishop Lynch women's soccer team clinched the No. 2 seed in the TAPPS playoffs with a 3-0 victory over Prestonwood Christian Academy on Tuesday night at Roffino Stadium. The win capped a memorable evening as the Friars honored the Class of 2026 on Senior Night.

In a fitting tribute, the Friars' starting lineup featured all seniors, who played the entire first half in their final regular-season match at Roffino Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

After a scoreless first half, Bishop Lynch seized control in the final 40 minutes. Ana Julia Kessler broke the deadlock in the 64th minute, finishing a setup from Madison Murphy to give the Friars a 1-0 lead. Kessler now has four goals in her last three matches, continuing her strong late-season form.

Just four minutes later, Emma Soignier sparked the attack with a long pass from the back line. Following a scramble in the box, Murphy settled the ball and powered it past the Lions' keeper to double the advantage.

With eight minutes remaining, Mila Van Loggerenberg added the finishing touch, striking with her trademark left foot from the right side to seal the 3-0 victory.

Bishop Lynch improves to 10-0 against Prestonwood Christian since 2019.
The Friars are 5-1-2 at home this season.
