DALLAS -- The Friars played three great quarters on the road last Friday night and fell flat in the fourth quarter, only scoring four points leading to a 48-41 defeat to Parish Episcopal.
Cole Milkereit followed up hisÂ
buzzer-beater game with a solid performance on Friday with his first double-double of the season, finishing with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Aiden Schnurr continued to have the hot hand, going 3-6 from deep and finishing with 12 points.
Defensively, the Friars played well for most of the night, holding the Panthers to just 20 points in the first half. Ultimately, the turnovers and free-throw shooting killed the Friars' chances of winning in the tough road environment. The Friars committed 17 total turnovers - second most all season - and shot 11% from the free-throw line going 1-9.
The Friars will use their bye tonight to refocus and regroup for their rematch against top-ranked Prestonwood on Friday. The Friars played the Lions back on December 6th, when they lost 58-46.
