Natalie Cardenas and
Maddie Heiss scored a combined 26 points in the Friars' 62-25 victory over Trinity Christian Academy on Saturday afternoon. This game was originally scheduled to be played on Friday, February 3rd but due to the weather got pushed to Saturday.
Bishop Lynch took control of the game early and never looked back. After the first quarter, the Friars had a whopping 26-3 advantage. The Friars shot 11-12 in the first quarter to help create the 23-point lead. Cardenas scored nine of her 11 points in the first quarter.
Over the next three quarters, Bishop Lynch swarmed the Trojans on the defensive side. The Friars forced 25 turnovers, including 17 steals, and turned that into 32 points. Bishop Lynch also played some great team ball, having 19 assists to just four turnovers.
The bench played one of their best games of the season. They combined to go 10-20 from the field with 10 rebounds and eight assists.
Iyana Axson led the charge with eight points with
Mikah Ford and
Londyn Perry each adding six.

Bishop Lynch hosts Parish Episcopal tomorrow, February 7th, at 5:30 in the Competition Gym. It is senior night and we will be honoring the Class of 2023 in a pre-game ceremony.
