BETHLEHEM, PA -- The Bishop Lynch wrestling program traveled to the northeast this past weekend to compete in the 2024 National Prep Wrestling Championship. Overall, the Friars had eleven wrestlers compete in the prestigious tournament.
Walker Walls and
Sofia Jandres shined for the black and white as they wrestled to the honor of All-American. This is Jandres' second time earning the honor and for Walls, it is his first. Walls is the first All-American male to wrestle under the direction of Head Coach
Tom Trautman since he took over the program in 2015-16.
Maddox Preskitt also had a great tournament as the sophomore won his first three bouts before getting eliminated in the "blood round" which is the round you win to become an All-American.
Harrison Jackson advanced to the Round of 16 with two victories before being eliminated.
Congratulations to the entire wrestling program on yet another successful year.
