Three Notes
  • The Bishop Lynch Friars take on Central Catholic on Friday night in the TAPPS Division area playoff round. This marks the third postseason meeting between the two schools since 2022. 
  • Since 2000, Bishop Lynch owns a 5-1 advantage over the Buttons, including a four-game win streak since 2003. 
  • The last time these two teams faced off was in Roffino Stadium in 2023, and the Friars won 17-13. 
Players to Watch

Freshman Zack Williams, who broke the Bishop Lynch single-season receiving record this year, is one of the most dynamic athletes the Friars have had in a long time. He can change the outcome of the game every time he touches the ball, whether that be receiving, running, or in the return game. 

The Buttons were led by linebacker Marc Luna this season. The senior led the team in tackles with 96 while adding 13.5 tackles for loss and four turnovers. Luna will look to slow down the Friar offense with all their weapons.
