Bishop Lynch at Parish Episcopal: Regional Preview

DALLAS, Texas — Bishop Lynch will face Parish Episcopal in the TAPPS Division I regional final, marking the first meeting between the two teams this season. Parish enters the playoffs as the No. 1 seed from District 1 with a 6-7 overall record and a 5-1 mark in district play. 

Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. tomorrow, Feb. 27, at Gloria H. Snyder Stadium in North Dallas. The game will also be livestreamed on the Parish Athletics website and Game On Sports here. There will be no charge for admission to the match. 

Although the Panthers and Friars have not met this season, they played two tightly contested matches two years ago, each winning one. Bishop Lynch took the first contest in penalty kicks, 4-3, after a scoreless regulation, while Parish won the second matchup 3-2. Since 2020, the teams have faced off eight times, with the Friars winning five.  

Bishop Lynch at a Glance 

 The Friars secured their 15th win in 18 games Monday night, defeating Trinity Christian Academy 3-0 in dominant fashion in the area round. Bishop Lynch controlled every aspect of the game, holding a 67-33 edge in possession, outshooting TCA 30-1, and completing 285 passes to TCA's 40.

Bishop Lynch will look to keep its offense rolling, having scored at least three goals in each of the past three matches while allowing none. 

Parish Episcopal at a Glance 

Parish enters the regional final on a six-game winning streak, peaking at the right time. The Panthers' offense has been especially potent, averaging 3.8 goals per game during that stretch.

They also hold a home-field advantage, boasting an unbeaten 6-0-1 record at Snyder Stadium this season. Parish is particularly comfortable on its signature blue turf, making it a true home-field advantage.
