Short-handed Friars get revenge on JPII

DALLAS - Bishop Lynch (7-8-1, 3-3) got a well-earned 1-0 victory at home last night against district foe John Paul II.

The contest's lone goal came from the boot of sophomore Danielle Howard midway through the first half. The assist came from senior Gabby Dunn, who has continued to be a great leader for Coach Tennyson and the women's soccer team. The Friars defensively did not give up many chances, and the Friars' goalkeepers earned the clean sheet. Even though Bishop Lynch was short-handed, they battled hard throughout the game.

Last night's victory made it two straight district wins for the ladies. It was also a revenge game as the Cardinals beat the Friars 1-0 way back on December 7th.

NEXT UP: Thursday, Bishop Lynch will host HSAA, and we will be celebrating Senior Night for the student-athletes who are players and managers on the women's soccer team.
