Box Score ADDISON -- The Friars traveled to Addison to take on Trinity Christian Academy over the weekend and fell to the Trojans 52-46.
Everything went well in the first two quarters and the Friars had a 14-point advantage at the half leading 30-16.
Baker Trent was having one of his best games of the season as he had 12 points in the first half.
Aiden Schnurr added two threes and six points for the Friars as well.
Defensively, the Friars were forcing turnovers and limiting TCA to only one shot per possession. That all changed in the second half when the Trojans came out and looked like a completely different team. After a
Cole Milkereit 15-foot jumper at the beginning of the third quarter, TCA went on a 20-2 run to take a 33-32 lead.
Hayden Bauer stopped the bleeding by getting a bucket at the end of the third, but what was once a 14-point lead was now only one point with one quarter to go.
In the fourth, TCA continued to play well and the Friars, unfortunately, could not get a bucket, though they were getting good looks. After a strong first couple of minutes for BL, TCA took the lead with 3:36 left and never looked back. With 1:02 left in the game, they had gotten their lead to nine points. The Friars would make some great plays in the final minute but it wasn't enough.
Trent finished the game with a team-high 15 points with Milkereit and Bauer each adding seven.
SUB-VARSITY:
