As the summer heat begins to wane, anticipation is building for the Bishop Lynch Friars' 2024 football season. The team is ready to hit the field after a tremendous off-season in the weight room. With a roster full of talent and experience, the Friars are gearing up for what promises to be an exciting and competitive season. Friar Nation is eagerly awaiting the Friday night lights, ready to cheer on the men in black and white.

The Friars' schedule is jam-packed with tough competition, both in non-district and district play. Bishop Lynch opens the 2024 season against a familiar foe, Bishop Dunne, at Roffino Stadium. This will mark the 48th time the Friars and Falcons have met on the gridiron.

The other three non-district games will be played away from Roffino, including a neutral site game against Bishop McGuinness (9/14) in the Catholic Bowl IV at The Star in Frisco. Bishop Lynch will travel nearly 800 miles for the other two non-district games at Midland Christian (9/6) and Rice (9/20).

TAPPS Division 1-District 1 will be the toughest it has been in recent history. Along with the return of Parish Episcopal, Prestonwood Christian, Nolan Catholic, and Trinity Christian, the competition becomes even more fierce with the addition of Liberty Christian and Legacy Christian. Both Liberty Christian and Legacy Christian won 10+ games last season.

The Friars open district play against Prestonwood (10/4) under the lights of Roffino Stadium. They follow that up a week later with Senior Night against Legacy Christian (10/11) before their first district road test in Fort Worth against Nolan Catholic (10/18).

Homecoming will be against long-time rival Trinity Christian (10/25) before the Friars finish off their schedule with a daunting two-game road trip at defending TAPPS Division II state champions Liberty Christian (11/1) and at the defending TAPPS Division I state champions Parish Episcopal (11/8).
